Celebrate the Royal Wedding!

With Prince William and Kate Middleton set to marry at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29th April, the day has been declared a Bank Holiday - giving you all the perfect excuse for a long weekend away in celebration! We've got a wonderful day planned fit for a King! Get your posh togs on (crown and tiaras optional) and join us not only to watch the Royal Wedding on TV, but also to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with champagne and canapés to ensure you feel like royalty!

04 March - RHS Rosemoor FREE Friday
This is a wonderful opportunity to visit this inspirational 65 acre garden to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity as it awakens from its winter slumbers. Already a Member? Why not bring your friends and share with them the benefits of RHS Membership for the day.
19 & 20 March and 24 to 27 March - Minehead Spring Steam Fair
The ever popular Spring Gala this year will see the return of some of the locomotive types associated with the Minehead branch over the last thirty five years as well as new types not seen before. As well as visiting engines there will be sheds and workshops and many other attractions around the Railway to visit.
22 - 25 April - Easter Weekend
We have very special 3 and 4 night breaks available; with loads going on in the area, Neil cooking up great Spring dishes and plenty of chocolate goodies there's lots of reasons to spend this wonderful time of year with us at Sampson.
29 April - 8 May - North Devon & Exmoor Walking Festival
April and May are a great time to visit for a walking holiday, why not plan to coincide with the UK's most scenic walking festival. You'll also have more than 70 guided walks to choose from, ranging from easy walks to all-day treks on more challenging terrain, an excellent way to see the best of Devon's flora, fauna and wildlife.
